Sign 2000 has adopted the guidelines set out under BS 8555 : 2003 to help improve our environmental performance and our supply chain relationships. This forms the basis of a formal Environmental Management System.
Sign 2000 is registered under the IEMA Acorn scheme phases 1,2 & 3 of British standard BS8555:2003.
We are also well on our way towards ISO 14001 accreditation.
Environmental Policy Statement
Sign 2000 Ltd. will achieve improved environmental performance by proactively, systematically and fully integrating environmental considerations into the planning and execution of our work so that our mission is successfully accomplished for the benefit of the company, the public, our employees and the environment.
We will maintain an Environmental Management System (EMS), which is designed against the requirements of ISO14001 : 2004;
We will protect and improve our environmental performance by committing to comply with all existing environmental regulations and requirements and to meet all new regulations as soon as is reasonably practicable.”

We are committed to reducing our environmental impacts by:
Reducing our energy usage by monitoring our vehicle usage
Our on site projects will be managed to reasonably minimise risk and mitigate negative impacts to the environment and will strive to assure that its activities are conducted in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations.
Implementing pollution prevention and waste minimization programs to eliminate or reduce wastes and emissions.
We will work to continually improve our environmental management system, with the goal of improved environmental performance. Performance will be measured against stated objectives and targets through regular review meetings.
We will communicate environmental information to persons who have a significant effect on our environmental impacts, stakeholders and the public and seek their involvement in reducing our environmental impacts.
The Environmental Manager has the responsibility to maintain and review the procedures required to meet these objectives.
The Environmental Policy, its associated procedures and documents are issued under the authority of the Managing Director and implementation is mandatory on all persons having a significant impact on the environmental performance of Sign 2000 Ltd. and the EMS.
